it's istanbul again! the city of islam, where rich ancient culture echoes, east meets west, oh well.. simply my favourite place in the world wide world!
despite sulky n unruly turks constantly giving u the stare n every eye u catch sends a hunting signal straight down ur spine, guard ur bag n wallets, guard it well, keep ur bag n all ur world's riches close, istanbul being filled with exotic culture is still the place that boils that passion n melts my heart the most. all those things about the ottoman empire, islamic architecture n great food n apple tea, pure humour u get buying a cone of turk marshmallow-like ice-cream perfect for summer, bazzaaars n evil eye.. whoooo! Danger-does it still matter?
it's a great trip i say. however, hagia sophia is still left untouched. I'm gg alone the next time even if nobody wants to go. it's only a few euros.... y bother bt the fee when in return, u r recieving so much more wealth of knowledge n life experience. there's something really special bt this mosque, quite debatefuly what the modern turks would consider it to be.
n topkapi palace, the harem in it. KaoZZZZZ! din even see it doors. next time.
How bt the limestone terrace, dervishes still whirls for allah n tourists alike myself, sumela monastery, the black sea n agean coast where the majestic acropolis stands, and most heard about luxrious turkish bath, the wooden horse of Troy still seems out of reach which sucha short short stay.
